CentralBank

Enum CentralBank

#[non_exhaustive]
pub enum CentralBank { Fed, Ecb, Boe, Other(String), }
Expand description

A central bank whose policy-decision dates anchor meeting knots. Other keeps the type open for banks beyond the embedded seed without an enum change.

Variants (Non-exhaustive)§

This enum is marked as non-exhaustive
Non-exhaustive enums could have additional variants added in future. Therefore, when matching against variants of non-exhaustive enums, an extra wildcard arm must be added to account for any future variants.
§

Fed

US Federal Reserve (FOMC).

§

Ecb

European Central Bank (Governing Council monetary-policy meetings).

§

Boe

Bank of England (Monetary Policy Committee).

§

Other(String)

Any other bank, identified by a free-form code (e.g. "BOJ", "SNB").

Implementations§

§

impl CentralBank

pub fn code(&self) -> &str

A short stable code for the bank — the identity Python and risk readouts label a meeting by.

§

impl CentralBank

pub fn from_code(code: &str) -> Self

The bank a code names — FED, ECB, BOE in any case — and any other code as CentralBank::Other, upper-cased: the inverse of code.

§

impl CentralBank

pub fn home_calendar(&self) -> Arc<dyn Calendar>

The calendar the bank’s effective-date rule walks on where the caller names none: the SOFR publication calendar for the Fed, TARGET for the ECB, London for the Bank of England, and London for any other bank, whose rule walks nothing.

pub fn effective_date( &self, decision: NaiveDate, calendar: &dyn Calendar, ) -> NaiveDate

The date the overnight rate moves after a decision announced on decision: for the Fed the next business day on calendar; for the ECB the following Wednesday, rolled Following on calendar; for the Bank of England and any other bank the decision day. The three rules are read off vendor curve sheets: a Fed decision of Wednesday 28 October 2026 opens its window on the 29th, an ECB decision of Thursday 29 October on Wednesday 4 November, a BoE decision of Thursday 5 November on the day.
